A few seconds after opening a new Chrome tab, it gets moved to the left. It doesn't matter whether I open it by middle-clicking a link, or by using Ctrl+N and typing the URL. This happens in the main Chrome window that I always keep open, which usually has a couple dozen tabs. It does not occur in some of my other browser windows.
