Hi!

Sorry for bothering you again, but I realized that the printer emulation is not included in the DOS binaries. It would be very useful to have it at least to creating a PDF or PS file. Is it impossible to have it in those versions for some reason, or just excluded to reduce size?

Have you tried to build DOSBox-X with C_PRINTER defined and with the setting "printoutput = ps" in [printer] section of the config file?

Hello!

I didn't. I never compiled the program myself as there is always an HX.DOS build for each version. The first time I tried it is for the latest version as it comes for 2 platforms only. But that was unsuccessful as I mentioned in the "Compiling Issue". I am unable to build the program and I can not figure out what the problem might be, thus, I can not try any alternative setting either.

@KormaX-of-DOS Please check out the latest HX-DOS build for DOSBox-X 0.83.19, which now features printer and TTF support:

I confirm that with a setting like paralell1=printer, printoutput=png (or printoutput=ps), and docpath=., DOSBox-X will send the printer output from LPT1 and save as PNG (or PS) in the DOSBox-X directory. You may need to press Ctrl+F2 to send a form-feed before printing starts. It is also recommended to load the DOSLFN driver before running DOSBox-X. Hope this helps.
