I'm browsing https://book.the-turing-way.org

I notice that, when clicking on a side-menu section, that section expands and then the page reloads. This is quite jarring! If a page reload is going to happen, that should probably happen immediately?

A more fluid experience would be to have the menu expand (as it currently does), followed by a refresh of only the content panel.

These artifacts only occur on TTW because it's a static site build rather than a MyST server. I suspect that the sections start collapsed, and we're seeing a "flash" of that SSR state before it's updated with the routing. Just adding this for context — we'll need to dig further.
