Travis CI tests are running twice on Node 6 #2766

Expected behaviour

Tests should run once against submitted PRs per Node platform.

Actual behaviour

Tests are executed twice on Node 6 where $VALIDATE_COMMIT_MSG is set to true.

Steps to reproduce the behaviour

  1. Submit a PR or make a commit against master.
  2. Observe the logs for Node 6.
