Custom module log (like Forms) #11

What happens with custom modules? Eg. Webforms doesn't appear in the email log.

When develop mode enabled, will emails be sent or not?
When develop mode disabled, will emails use the custom SMTP?
How can we log those emails as well? Maybe an option 'custom' for all other modules to set to Yes/No?
