Multiple Relay Support (Pub → Relay → Relay → Sub)

What is the current status about using multiple relays?

I have noticed that once someone publishes a video to a relay, this sends data to a relay even if there is no subscriber yet. To avoid this issue of sending video with no subscribers, I was thinking about using a local relay to send the published video. Then, this local relay would connect to a remote relay. My assumption here is that announcement about the video would be forwarded to the next relay but since there is no subscriber, the data would not be sent and no further data would be sent between relays.

Is this already supported or something that needs to be added later on?
