Fonts other than monospace slow performance drastically (or I am dumb) #230

OS: macOS 10.13.1
Install method: from macOS dmg

I'd like to try another font with the terminal and am having some issues.

  1. the command you identify in the default config "kitty list-fonts", is not on my system — is there a path to add to my rc file to add that? (EDIT: I figured this out — /Applications/kitty.app/Contents/MacOS/kitty list-fonts) Comment ld: library not found for -lhon.framework/Versions/3.5/Pyt #2 still holds.
  2. changing the font drastically slows down rendering (particularly in [n]vim). This might be because I'm not using a font kitty knows about (I'm just trying fonts that appear in the Font Book app), in which case, solving issue Unable to compile using 'python3 setup.py build' #1 would probably go a ways on this one.

Anyways, you've built a really cool application! thanks for your work.

EDIT: I'm going to remove this because I've found that at least one other font works swimmingly. Disregard.
