Remove stale bot #1045
Comments
I feel you, I often struggle with stalebot as well, but I think it's a necessary evil, since I don't know of a better way to replace it. The issue is that many projects are unpaid single developer hobby projects such as FluffyChat and the amount of issues can quickly become overwhelming. Similar things were in the news recently; |
If someone is willing to spend around 1 hour every day for issue management, we could remove the stale bot |
I've never seen a stale bot closing an invalid issue or an issue being solved by it. What stale bots do is closing mostly valid and important issues, that 's not what I would call "issue management" at all |
As I said as long as no one is willing to do the issue management, there is no real issue management. So saying that issues without any activity for 6 months are gone is the best bet we can do to not completely loose the overview. If you would like to do the work every day, feel free to ping me. I can give you moderation rights |
@krille-chan I could try that for a while if you want me to |
Feature Description
The title basically explains it. Remive/disable the stale bot.
Rationale
It closes many valuable and useful issues.
Mockup
No response
Additional Context
Many useful issues, even ones from @krille-chan like #376, were already closed because of it.
