Hive database is reported as corrupted when app is opened from a background notification #392

Description

After opening an incoming call notification, the app reports the hive database as corrupted. This causes syncs to fail and the app can no longer be used to send or receive messages. The 'Whoops, something went wrong' message is continuously shown on the screen. Exiting the app and reopening does not resolve the issue, but clearing the app data or uninstalling does.

To Reproduce

  1. Open the app on device A, login as user A and minimize it to background
  2. Open the app on device B and initiate a call to user A
  3. Tap on the call notification on device A to bring the app to foreground
  4. Sometimes it immediately reports database as corrupted or after accepting call on device A

  • OS and OS version: iOS 15.5.0 and Android 5.1.1, Android 11
  • Installed version of FluffyChat: 1.5.0
