To Reproduce

In a room, post a matrix.to link to a message of another, encrypted room. Click on the link. The target room is opened, but the messages do not appear (the chatroom appears empty) and the app freezes (must be closed and reopened).

Additional information:

FluffyChat 1.6.2 from f-droid on Android 7.1

Possibly related to #1003 ?
