Description

Jaeger Pod goes into CrashLoopBackoff phase after being killed by OOM (Out of Memory).

Error message: Failed to init storage factory","error":"Unable to replay value log[...]

Related issue on Jaeger side: jaegertracing/jaeger#1832

This issue has been solved in version 1.15, so we need to upgrade Jaeger to get it.

Workaround

  • Delete and recreate Jaeger PVC.

Jaeger has been updated to v1.16.0 and truncate option for badger has been enabled. This should solve the issue here.
