The KaTeX \tag function doesn't work anymore

After the upgrade to version 1.0.178, the \tag function did stop working and layout is broken.

Environment

Joplin version: 1.0.178
Platform: Windows
OS specifcs: Windows10 desktop

Steps To Reproduce

1. In a document simply add one of the following:
   $\tag{1}$
   $$\tag{2}$$
   $$
   \tag{3}
   $$

2. The tag is not formatted even once the document is exported to pdf or whatever other format.

Describe what you expected to happen:

A tag is added at the right of the line

Logfile

There is no error message.
