Burst balance decreasing without obvious cause #1

The burst balance on the t3a.nano that's my main reader deployment started decreasing without an apparent cause.

It happened twice already, and it doesn't seem to be related to a reader change.

The first dip recovered after a manual reboot, the second one by itself (but without the associated web app slowness going away).

I opened this here because I still don't know if its due to reader or not.

I should probably look at the enclosure tag downloads that happened around the times it started (maybe some worker process hanged or something).

  • after cancelling an enclosure download, I'm still seeing uwsgi --ini /apps/reader/uwsgi.ini pop up in iotop with ~1M/s writes

I disabled the minutely update cron at --07-17T08:28 UTC. If the burst balance decrease stops, then it's something having to do with the search changes we did.

Looking at these graphs, it's clear reads increased significantly in the past 2 weeks:
