As requested on the forum

P044_STATUS_LED is fixed to GPIO-12.
This is for ESP32 quite a terrible choice since the state of that GPIO pin at boot determines the voltage applied to the flash chip, it may actually destroy a board if it is pulled up or down to the wrong state for that specific board.

  • Make GPIO pin configurable
  • Allow to disable status LED.
