Continuous error spam while placing mario in scene with rig.

Upon placing mario in scene which contains Rigify rig.
The error occurs, which spams console continuously: "ERROR: normal magnitude is very close to zero:"
Attempted solutions:

• Positioning 3d cursor above z.
• Applying scale/modifiers for the scene.
• Creating new file and appending.
  None worked so far.
  Would really like to get the solution.
