text: ruling 4 is potentially misleading. The cited ruling says "the damage is not suceyfully inflicted" per other rulings "the damge is ignored". Rulebook uses the word "inflcts" in the context of "attpemts to deal damage", which still happens.

Not sure I understand what is misleading here. The damage is not inflicted, it is ignored. Do we need to give an example?
