Original bug report:

Windows 10 MH 1.2.0 alpha 2 (and I think source as well)

Steps to reproduce:

  • Start MH and go to community tab
  • Start synchronize, watch progress bar pass 50%
  • Message says downloading files, then changes to "checking for additional files to download"
  • Shortly there after the program just stops (crashes)

From rob:

Further follow-up
On the computer that was crashing, I went into c:/document/makehuman/v1py3 and deleted the cache and the official_assets file. MakeHuman 12.0 alpha 2 can now once again synchronize without crashing.

I don't know the precise underlying problem that caused the "crash", but I will not close this YET in case it sparks some recognition about what might have gone wrong in the first place. If it happens to someone else, purging the v1py3 file might be of use.

Still happening in beta 1.2.0, not only when synchro, but also when trying to download an asset. The process is the same: 0% to 100%, then "downloading files", and then... nothing. The program chrashes and gets close.

@Kaitiou can you append a log file from after this has happened? http://www.makehumancommunity.org/wiki/FAQ:How_to_provide_a_makehuman_log_for_a_good_bug_report%3F
