It looks like you may have started migrating to appveyor. Should the Travis configuration/badge be removed?

Unfortunately, Travis stopped supporting open source a while back, which is why those builds are not working. We use Appveyor only for Windows builds. We'll need to replace Travis with something else. My preference would be CircleCI. I will open an issue.
