When I try a to start a demo conference from the main mconf.org website, I see:

You need Flash installed and enabled in order to use the Flash client.
or
Launch the HTML5 client instead

I click on the HTML5 button because I don't have flash installed but I get "Unable to load the HTML5 client!".

I had same problem. My setup is:

Version 62.0.3202.94 (Official Build) Built on Ubuntu , running on Ubuntu 17.10 (64-bit)

The server that hosts Mconf-web does not use SSL encryption and therefore can not load the HTML5 version in modern Internet browsers.
Only the version deprecated in Flash (not allowed in modern browsers due to security holes) is uploading (after changing the browser settings to allow the Adobe plugin).
