This might be caused by some older files not being uninstalled correctly.
Would you mind:
1 - Uninstall PowerToys.
2 - See if the PowerToys install directory (default: C:\Program Files\PowerToys) is still there. If it is, delete it manually.
3 - Install PowerToys.

Please let us know if this works for you.

I uninstalled it and afterwards there was no folders left in Programs, but there was folders containing data in AppData/Local from a March 2022 version remaining. I deleted those and then reinstalled PowerToys. Restarted PC and now everything works fine with no errors.
