Spacebar Triggering PowerToys Run #4680
Comments
I_have_just_found_out_that_the_issue_persists_even_if_you_disable_PowerToys_Run. |
I've got the same problem but I'm using the shortcut Win+Space for PowerToys Run. Sometimes space triggers Run and will do so until I press the Win key, after which it will work for some time again until the problem reappears. PowerToys v0.19.0 Edit: |
I am also having this issue. I haven't been able to reproduce triggering it but eventually simply pressing the spacebar triggers it to pop up despite having a custom map setup. |
could be #4578 |
Have exactly the same behaviour since updating to 0.19.0 When PowerToys first runs say from a boot up, if I hit the space bar, even typing in a document, PowerToys Run activates. I then found if I hit alt on it's own once, and then try typing again with a space it's OK. At this point alt+space also works properly. Then at some point after it seems to stop working completely and I run into #4682 I can't pinpoint what triggers this. So I close PowerToys, reopen and I'm back to having to hit alt once more so that my space bar functions again. |
This will be fixed in 0.19.1 |
Environment
What I did
Expected behavior
At first, the system behaved as expected, triggering PowerToys Run whenever I hit Win+R
Actual behavior
Eventually, whenever I hit the spacebar, PowerToys Run would launch. I would change settings in PowerToys to prevent this behavior. My fixes (which included removing the shortcut remap) worked at first, but eventually, the bug would be triggered again. I tried deleting the PowerToys app and reinstalling it. Since the data from my previous installation is backed up, I'm worried that the bug will come again, forcing me to disable PowerToys Run completely.
