Can't sign in to azure using Azure resources - msal #1041

After Azure Account extension is retired, I can't sin in to azure using Resources. After authentication I get 80070002 the system cannot find the file specified error. Setting microsoft-authentication.implementation to classic makes it work again. Spent many hours for this frustrating bug. I know classic is on the chopping block but until this issue is resolved it should stay.
