Thanks, for this, good start 🙏
However, its not so nice to use without anyway to visualise what tags are on each cell 😬

I'm picturing tags at the bottom of the cell:

@chrisjsewell thanks for the feedback. We did show cell tags on the cell status bar, do you happen to have it disabled? You can check if notebook.showCellStatusBar is modified.

Hey @rebornix yes I do have it enabled thanks, and I can get it to work, ... sometimes 😬

After creating a new notebook:

  1. When I tried to add the tags using the cell menu (on the right) it does not seem to work.
  2. When I added it using the command pallete it did work, at first...
  3. Then I tried to click on the x to delete it, and got the error (bottom right pop-up):

  1. then I tried the command pallete again, and get:

So there is definitely something a bit buggy going on 😅

@chrisjsewell thanks for your feedback, I realized that there was a bug in VS Code core that led to this. It's already fixed in latest Insiders but not the Stable version. The up coming VS Code stable will have this fixed.
