Running line by line with empty line causes line to go back to the first line

Have a code cell like:

to_drop = ['cp',
           'fbs',
           'restecg',
           'thalach',
           'exang',
           'oldpeak',
           'slope',
           'thal',
           'target',
           'ca']

df.drop(to_drop, inplace=True, axis=1)
df.head(5)

And run line by line, when it comes to the empty line, it will go back to the first line and then back to where it was.
