Brief description of your issue

winget list
Failed in attempting to update the source: winget
An unexpected error occurred while executing the command:
InternetOpenUrl() failed.
0x80072f06 : unknown error

If I create a new user it will work from there. No new software installed since last run of winget, except for windows updates.

Can you share a logfile?

Run winget source update -s winget --verbose-logs --logs and it should open the log directory.

I've seen this issue before, and it looks like manually updating the cache was a work-around if the command above doesn't fix the issue.
