Map plugin requires all nodes from a Virtual Tour to be in the map

We are using the mapPlugin with the virtualTourPlugin and we have found that the virtualTourPlugin seems to require every single node to be included in the map. If a node if not added to the map and you navigate to that image in the tour and open the map then the map will break.

is it be possible to support selective tour nodes for the map?

If you are in "manual" position mode yes, every node has to be included in the map, otherwise I have no way to know where to center the map.

If you want to hide the spot you could give it a 0 size

I tried using a size of 0 but are still having issues. With the constraint of having to include every node I have been trying to completely hide some of the map spots in GPS mode and are using the following settings:

size 0 has not achieved the desired result because it still shows a tooltip when hovering over the area (see image). I am looking for a way to completely hide a spot since they have to be included and if it is selected to either 1) go to the center the map or 2) ignore the click. Open to other ideas as well.
