Currently the effects list in WEffectSelector is hardcoded as being alphabetical. It would be nice to let users define their own preferred order of effects. For 2.2.0 we should at least change the way hidden effects are stored in mixxx.cfg to be forward compatible with this.
It would also be nice to have a nested menu for "hidden" effects so the user can select those without having to open the preferences window. It might be a good idea to have 3 levels of effects visibility: preferred/favorites shown in the first level of the list, a secondary not-as-preferred list shown in the second level menu, and completely hidden for effects that will never be used.
