Hi @PetePeter
That is correct. I am not aware of any USB WiFi adapters that have more than one radio.
That is correct. |

ah dang. so my hopes of my diy wifi ap on a mini pc just got crushed. unless i have many USB wifis per band i guess ap manufacturers like tplink that make their own hw and their own drivers to make it work perfectly |

Many wifi routers use SoC's that support wireless. Keep in mind that APs and WiFi routers are tuned for AP mode whereas our USB WiFi adapters have more general tuning since they are used for many things. My RasPi4B is a dual band setup but it needs 2 usb wifi adapters. |

The AX1672 can do 6 GHz. I have tested it here in managed mode. Whether it is able to do managed or AP mode in 6 GHz is up to the wireless regulatory environment in your country. Many countries have not established laws and rules to allow 6 GHz. Of the countries that have established laws and rules for 6 GHz, what is allowed varies greatly from country to country. I have a solid example guide for hostapd for WiFi 6 for the chip in your AX1672. 6 GHz gets more complicated. Have you used the following command to check the 6 GHz channels? $ iw list |

That is not the fault of the AX1672. The blame for that is squarely on Windows 10 and Microsoft. Windows 10 does not support 6 GHz.
The default is usually 32 unless the max is set to lower. Are you using hostapd? |

I'm not a Windows person but I pick up on some things here and there. I've been using Linux since 1994. It can take a couple of months to feel at ease with with basic Linux.
Luci is the graphical interface for OpenWRT. OpenWRT does use a version of hostapd that is made as small as possible. Generally when I say hostapd, I mean using hostapd with OpenWRT. It is a very manual process to setup but it can give you maximum performance. What kind of hardware are you using? |

I setup EDUP EP-AX1672 on my openwrt in proxmox to use as an AP but there's only 1 radio
phy0-ap0 -> ../../devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1e.0/0000:02:1b.0/usb2/2-1/2-1:1.0/net/phy0-ap0
Is there only meant to be one radio on this device?
so i can only do 1 band at time then?
