Document/improve compatibility with different VR controllers (need help from people) #24
Comments
HP motion controllers: they don't out of the box, the following config changes are needed.
|
Can confirm that Index controllers work. Haven't had any issues with them so far. |
@thojmr Thanks, that's good to know! |
Oculus Quest 2 controllers work out of the box, and it's likely that other Oculus hardware will work fine as well. |
Great, thanks! |
for the most part Oculus Rift S controllers work. I have not been able to get the laser pointer thing to work at all... all tools are on both controllers and so if I have the menu on one controller and also on the other controller, I just have two menus... It's a bit weird. I have also experienced #28 a few times. (Possibly from the bounds of the cursor are a bit larger than the window bounds if I remember correctly). |
I am using an HP motion controllers, and I tried the settings posted by @mosirnik, and it works for walking around and going through menus, but I am unable to interact with anything. (normally mouse right click). which HP motion controller button does the settings refer to as "center"? I thought it was the thumbstick click, but I can't get the game to recognize it. |
Everything is working great for me on my HTC Vive. |
Rift CV1 no Trackpad, hand. Selecting activities are difficult. redundant actions on both controlers leave no room for actions. Need to make new bindings... |
@narkafh Thanks, updated the list. |
@E1337Kat Sorry about the late reply. If this is still a problem for you, sending me |
@pearcemichal That's weird, I have no idea why it doesn't work. And yes "center" refers to the thumbstick click without tilting it in any direction. |
Ideally the plugin should work out of the box with all major types of VR controllers, but at the moment I don't even know if they work at all.
So I'd like to ask owners of different types of controller to comment here and describe:
It would be good to know about these controllers at least:The list is now complete, thanks!The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
