Describe the problem and steps to reproduce it:

  • begin editing some text on any component that uses DismissibleTextForm (see examples below)
  • close the browser tab accidentally

What happened?

Your text is lost.

What did you expect to happen?

When you reload the tab and start over, you should see the text that you were working on.

Anything else we should know?

The following user flows will be affected:

@kumar303 I verified this issue on AMO dev with FF63(Win10)
I tested the affected flows and noticed that this works for all cases. I tried closing and reopening a tab, closing and reopening the browser (when only one tab is available with the option to restore the previous session) and I also tested refreshing page.

The only scenario when text is not available is when the page is refreshed when reporting an add-on so I filed a followup issue #12658
