For section 8.3.5 data import, with the instructions on book, read.csv doesn't work, error reported as "Error in make.names(col.names, unique = TRUE) : invalid multibyte string at ' <0a> '
".

Minor point: code for chapter 8 just missed out on Github.

I've seen this error occur when people first opened the file in Excel, and then saved it. If you think that might have been the case here, can you please try downloading the file again and running it again? If not, can you please let me know on what operating system and language setting you are getting this error?

The code for chapter 8 is contained in the the second half of file 07-stats.Rmd (sorry for the confusing file names!).
