Conclusion

What did we learn in this course?

  • Spring Web Security
  • Spring Basic Authentication
  • Spring JWT Authentication

What other things did we learn while doing this project?

  • Recently weve got a new style of using Github Issues to take notes which really makes it faster and easier to take proper and quick documentations, notes or snippets while following the course, and listing down own personal fixes and deviations i took to make the project work, as well as my frustrations hahhaha.

  • on my personal time during the duration of doing this project and following the course, learned more about VSCode, went exploring cool themes, file icons, and extensions and booyah hella bebi ya gotta see the glowup my VSCode got uwu:

  • this new glowup really gave me a fresher and younger feel, nice feel and coding experience uwu. I LIKE IT WOWOW hahahhah 🤣

What did we accomplish in this course?

  • the expected project after the course
  • learning more about spring boot, spring security, and methods of authentication (basic and jwt)
  • VSCode Glowup uwu

What were we not able to learn in this course?

  • the course did not cover frontend integration nor implementing databases. but we already know how to do that from the past projects we did so no problemo.

What else could we improve on?

  • proper templates for notetaking ex: github issues templates.

Would u still recommend this course?

yes because it works.

however for new learners or people who got stuck in the magical codes appearing, freezing parts of the course, etc, maybe because this course just came out only recently that they did not provide the source code yet for the course. But what should have been done is maybe show where they got the JwtUtils codes from online if they said it was easy to look for them online.

I had to go through different links comparing their JwtUtils and see which works, understand it, then give my fixes my own just to make it work to the end.

aside from the obstacles, the course was really good in explaining with detail using sequence diagrams etc, and i did like how the course was divided ex: explain, then implement. Step by step and clearly defined breakdown of the course really did help me with notetaking.

anyways whats important is that we were able to do the course, got the expected output of the project, as well as a new hot glowup for my bebi VSCode.
