Every time I hit approve from the instance I use, I get this

Mastodon OAuth access token could not be obtained: Error getting OAuth access token Client error: `POST https://%[email protected]/oauth/token` resulted in a `401 Unauthorized` response:
{"error":"invalid_client","error_description":"Client authentication failed due to unknown client, no client authenticat (truncated...)

I think it might mean I have to configure a client app, but I don't see a place to do that in the connected accounts admin settings.

POST https://%[email protected]/oauth/token is incorrect
It should be POST https://meow.social/oauth/token for example

Thank you for reaching out, and debugging!
This happens if you add your account name in the field for the instance name: you should put in meow.social and not @[email protected]. I will try to make the UI a bit more clear on that.
