OPEN ARC #319
Comments
@jagdish7396 could you please check if the version 0.0.51 have the same issue. |
@langeipk Can I get link for 0.0.51 version of ARCitect? |
|
You edited the study file outside ARCitect and added rows. Here you referenced to data from external Excel sheets. To exclude, that 5jis cause issues to ARCitect, please check if copy the referenced values itself and avoid the formulars in the cells may help. |
Okay, But the data that is referenced from external excel sheets are just geo coordinates. do we also have reference for geo coordinates in ARCitect? Just need a clarification. I could open the ARC now. Thank you. |
Great, so the bug report is rather that ARCitect does not raise an error message but get stuck in the opening process panel, while opening excel files that were modified in an incompatible way externally. |
Can you please provide me with an example ARC where this is happening? Preferably a small one so I can report an error in the future. Thank you |
This happened when i modified files out of the ARCitect locally using Excel. In Excel I have use VLOOKUP feature to import the data from another excel file and did not convert the formula into the plain text or values. So this happened. Thank you. |
Hey @jagdish7396, could you try to reproduce the error in a minimal example assay or study file? This way we could try out what exactly fails, and whether we can fix it or at least return some helpful error messages. |
Here is the study file that I have created just now for your reference. In this file in the columns AI and AL the data was imported from the one of the passport data files using vlookup feature of excel. And here I didnot convert the formulas into the values in the cells of respective columns. Thank you |
Good morning! |
hello @JonasLukasczyk |
Hi @jagdish7396, might make sense to arrange a quick video call to understand what's going on. |
@Brilator |
I just realized I'm running into an issue myself with a public ARC.
|
Hello @jagdish7396 the helpdesk issue was forwarded to me 🙂 First of all thank you for reaching out to us, every communication helps us to improve the tooling we provide. I might not be fully up to date to which information was provided and which not. To investigate an ARC not opening/loading in ARCitect, we might need the ARC or a descriptive error message to search for a solution. If possible create a minimal example which reproduces the error (copy everything, start deleting assays/studies until it starts working again, then put back the last change so it just starts showing the faulty behaviour again). In addition you can toggle developer tools: Which will open a sidebar, in which you can find the "console" tab: Most errors will show up here and provide us with additional information. We will try to find a solution to this as soon as possible. |
I am encountering an issue with the ARCitect application where I am
unable to open an ARC. The application continuously buffers and does
not proceed further. A screenshot of the issue is attached for your
