Cannot move the character to left and right in portrait mode in Hertz smasher game.

Description of the issue

I have set the game in portrait mode. When I press '4' key to move left and '6' key to move right. The game character does not move in either direction. The enemies in the game also move too fast.

The issue does not happen when I set the game in landscape mode.

I have just set the graphics mode to 'software'.
Now the game works fine. But can't this game work as it is intended to work without changing the graphics mode in portrait mode? I do not have to change graphics mode in landscape mode for this game to work as it is intended to work.

Update : By choosing graphics mode, the game does looks like it is working fine but when the character is hurt by enemies, It cannot be moved left & right by pressing 4 and 6 key.
