In the last hour or two, the catalog search on production has shown broken icons rather than thumbnails. A researcher actively using the site reported this bug. See the second link below for the search she was using that returned broken thumbs. I can confirm that accessing the catalog without entering a search is also returning broken icons--the same screen had thumbnails about an hour ago. Possibly active dev work will fix this, but just in case, here's a ticket to report the behavior. Thank you!
