Responsive / auto-optimized image configuration

For projects that rely on auto-generated assets (e.g. thousands of dashboards, like in this discussion), it would be nice to have image assets auto-optimized with tools like Sharp -- and support for responsive images.

Not sure if this is out-of-scope for Framework! Thinking of plugins like this for Vite: https://github.com/ElMassimo/vite-plugin-image-presets

This is probably covered already by “file transforms“ idea #849, which is registering data loaders for request patterns, which is a variant of the parameterized data loader idea #245. But it is a common-enough need that it might be worth calling out and designing specifically for.
