Hy winget.pro Team,

i am currently running the winget.pro server without any issues and it is quite working well. Unfortunatly, i saw that since my original installation there are some updates on the original repo done and i want to bring my server up to the latest version.

Currently, i am a struggeling in how i should do a "safe" update without missing configuration, package, user setting and so on.
Is it possible to make a short whitepaper description in "how to Update a running server to the latest version"? It would be really helpful...
Thanks

Hi, which setup are you using? Docker or VPS?

You should be able to run https://github.com/omaha-consulting/winget.pro/blob/main/run/vps/bin/git-update.sh as root. Let me know please if that works for you as expected.

thank you @mherrmann for helping me out with that.
Well i got a missunderstanding within Docker/VPS setup... I am running the winget.pro Server from the description within the "Local" folder on a windows VM-ware Machine. As descriped within the Readme which should NOT be done for production at all...

Is there also a possibility to update the server?

Maybe this is a seperate topic which i have to focus on: If the local server is now running with the description out of the "local" folder, is there a possibility to migrate this server instance into a docker envrionment also?
