Sometimes the developers want to be able to generate releases of the project, and even publish it to npm. There are different options to do so:

npm package => example (even if it's deprecated, it works good)
GitHub actions => https://github.com/googleapis/release-please

It would be interesting to add this feature to the scaffolding.
