This is a follow-up discussion issue of #2555.

In the previous issue, we have provided a quick bug fix for customer to browser auto select a width for specific element.

However, for suggestion list cutoff, if the input is very long, it is better to truncate the string. On the other hand, a simple truncation might bring in new issues. For example, if the difference between two searching inputs is at the very bottom. A simple truncation might cause confusion since after truncating the two search inputs will look the same.

Therefore, we definitely need some feedbacks and discussions here.
