[amenity-points] parking=disabled #4067
Comments
Author: JulienBalas I second that. The icon for "parking disabled" exist on the webpage which seems to be the source for mapnik icons |
Author: Andrew Chadwick parking='' is for the type of parking structure, e.g. ''parking=surface'' or ''parking=multi-storey''. The right way to determine this in a map stylesheet is ''capacity:disabled=N* if N>0. In the absence of this in the default Mapnik rendering, mappers are resorting to hacks like naming parking blocks for disabled drivers using name=Disabled. Hopefully a fix will emerge soon. I'll report this over at https://github.com/gravitystorm/openstreetmap-carto for the stylesheet reimplementation effort too. |

To clarify, I have nothing to do with this bug closure. I am still strongly in favour of some default layer on openstreetmap.org displaying an icon for disabled parking. |
Author: math1985 Sorry for the unclear formulation - I of course meant that I closed it because you pointed out it is duplicate with the Github issue. |

Could I persuade you to add a wheelchair symbol to the P for parking symbol when you see
amenity=parking
with
parking=disabled
and/or
capacity:disabled=N for N > 0
