Description of issue

on both macos and gnu+linux i have homebrew setup in $HOME/homebrew as the $(brew --prefix) on both these installations i have installed qt ie. qt v6. i'll include some output below for both macos and gnu+linux. running qmake -query on both installations report incorrect paths for the qt installation as seen below.

looking at the source for each formula ie. qt.rb and [email protected]

it looks like qt.rb contains the below snippet, where it's setting the install prefix to the #{HOMEBREW_PREFIX} as seen in the below link, whereas the [email protected] is using -prefix #{prefix}
