Tested on Desktop Sync Client 2.6.3 RC4

  • Fedora 32 (Workstation Edition) 64-Bit, GNOME Version 3.36.2
  • CentOS 8.1, GNOME Version 3.32.2

noTrayIcon

Ubuntu and Windows 10 Icon are there.
Expected result: Consistently have icons everywhere.

I am afraid this is "intended misbehaviour" on behalf of gnome.
@TheOneRing Do users know, or should we speak about that in the release notes?

The behaviour is completely unrelated to ownCloud so no we won't mention it in the release notes.
Closing this as modern gnome distributions just don't have a system tray.
