Cannot clone private repo #8

Node Version: 8.8.1
NPM Version: 5.3.0
Mac OS X High Sierra
elm-grove tag 1.1.0

The following commands:

grove install [email protected]:bloom/aviators
grove install [email protected]:bloom/aviators
grove install bloom/aviators

all result in the following error message:

Cloning https://github.com/bloom/aviators.git
<more packages... >
ERROR: Unable to clone: bloom/aviators Error: Unable to clone: https://github.com/bloom/aviators.git (Error: credentials callback returned an invalid cred type)

Aviators is a private repository and I have confirmed that I can clone using git clone with either the SSH or the HTTPS urls.
