In addition to PGXS and pgrx, consider adding support for other build pipelines. They should all work transparently though the CLI with no additional commands requires.

Some candidates (convert to their own issues for tracking as appropriate):

  • Rust
  • Perl
  • Ruby
  • Python 3
  • Go
  • npm
  • PHP
