Did anybody tried to put the database file and the other files in a new phone to restore the data ?
It would probably involve crypting it back.

I believe it could be done by simply putting the new key there https://github.com/ppwwyyxx/wechat-dump/blob/master/decrypt-db.py#L53
And copying back the other files.

think some md5 hash check if the file hasn't been tampered with

i managed to restore with a really ugly hack, but i wont tell you. just saying it IS possible.
