Version

2.4.1-beta3

Build: PrusaSlicer-2.4.1-beta3+x64-202202241023

Operating system type + version

macOS 11.6

3D printer brand / version + firmware version (if known)

Prusa i3 MK3S+ stock printer running on latest firmware

Behavior

When using seam position aligned and you need to move one seam on the model by painting on the seam the rest of the seams no longer align, instead they seam to be random.

I would expect if you paint on a seam for certain layers that the remainder of the layers will respect the aligned seam position.

Project File (.3MF) where problem occurs

SeamPosition.3mf.zip

Prior to painting any seams you can see that the outer seam is aligned as well as the inner seam.

SeamAligned-Inner

SeamAligned-Outer

After painting on a new outer seam you can see the inner seam no longer respects the Aligned seam position.
Paint

SeamAligned-Paint

This is a simplified example, but with a more complicated model if you need to move one seam you are forced to paint all seams if you want them aligned.

Thank you for the report. This issue should be fixed and the fix will be part of the 2.5.0 release.
