Polestar 3 support

Hey, Polestar 3 API seems spotty,

I would love to help and contribute to implement support for Polestar 3, but I am struggling to find the GRAPHQL API definition you folks are plugging into.

Can you folks help me start

The GraphQL models are not public and are currently reversed engineered, you can find the results in https://github.com/pypolestar/pypolestar/blob/main/pypolestar/graphql.py. Both the Polestar 2 and 3 are supported with some data missing (e.g., the Polestar 3 does not provide health information). Example data can be found in https://github.com/pypolestar/pypolestar/tree/main/tests/data. I have yet to find a data dump from a Polestar 4.

I'm trying to acquire a good contact at and relationship with Polestar so we can get a more stable implementation. Things are moving forward, but not very swiftly. I hope this can change in the near future.

Have you figure out if there are anyway we could push info to the car (like start climatisation or change battery charge limit)

Climate - maybe if we can hit the same end-points as the app.

I have (in the past) captured app traffic for login when Polestar change the login process.

I have not attempted to capture climate.

I doubt battery charge - as the app doesn't support it (at least for the 3 that I own).

An alternative is - if you are charging at home with an OCPP charger - is to monitor the charge level through the API and turn off the charger when you reach your target.

If you set the car to 100% it gives you full control.

@marcolivierarsenault I note that you can't see your odometer either - can you see it when you log into the Polestar website (not the app)?

No it does not work.

For the battery, I know we can start stop the charge. But we can (with the app) set the limit % of charge.

So effectively setting it to 20% or 80% act like a turn on/off (I think)

The app is operating with the same credentials as the web app, so it is limited what it can do. Also, the web app uses GraphQL whereas the mobile app, IIRC, use gRPC.

For charging, I'm fine with controlling this via my EVSE ("home charger") as I need to control it (authorize, max current settings etc.) anyway. Stopping charging at a specific charge level is better handled by the car, so setting the max charge level would be most useful.
