using open jdk vs oracle jdk (17)

Hi all;
small question.
in the quarkus statement it says that its tailored for open jdk. I was wondering if this sentence acutlaly means that I should use openjdk over the standard oracle jdk.
since J17 the licensing model essentially allows us to use the oracle dist somewhat freely like in the old days.
so when having to choose between the oracle standard j17 vs open jdk 17 specifically for running quarkus apps. which one should I use?
