IMEX PD-ARS is a convex-invariant, asymptotic-preserving integrator that reduces to RK2-SSP in the free-streaming limit [1].
The current integrator is RK2-SSP followed by an operator-split step, which is not asymptotic-preserving for non-steady-state solutions.
